前言
Foreword
本「安全訓練手冊」是根據SOLAS/74公約2000年修正案及其1988年議定書第III章第35條的規定，需隨船攜帶。
This “Safety Training Manual” is carried aboard this ship in compliance with Regulation 35, Chapter III of SOLAS 74 and its Protocol of 1988 as set out in the SOLAS Consolidated Edition.
本手冊旨在提供船上救生設備以及緊急情況下最佳求生方法的所有資訊。本手冊旨在供所有船員參考，因此每個船員餐廳、娛樂室或每個船員艙間都應備有一本，以便能隨時取用。
The purpose of this Manual is to give all information on the lifesaving equipment provided on the ship, and on the best methods of survival in an emergency situation. This Manual is intended as a reference source for all crew members, and a copy should be available in each crew mess room and recreation room or in each crew cabin in order that there is ready access to the contents.
本手冊的內容為一般通用性質。但而法規要求需包含每一特定船舶的資訊。因此在適當的地方，我們會以鮮明的顏色(見下文範例)突出顯示這些資訊，以便引起船員的注意。
The contents of this Manual are generic in nature. However provision has been made for the inclusion of vessel specific information. The attention of crew members to the location of this information is drawn by a highlight colour (see example below) where appropriate.

This Manual may also be used as a guide and reference source for those persons whose duty is to give instruction to other members of the crew in the use of lifesaving equipment, and in the best methods of survival at sea.
